Starvation Creek Subdivision
WGM Group was retained to survey the boundary of a 113 acre tract near Clinton, Montana. With the greater boundary resolved, the subdivision moved forward into 12 lots on a 14 acre portion of the larger tract. The larger tract included General Land Office Government lots in an elongated section containing meanders of the Clark Fork River. A certificate of survey filed before the subdivision included a section breakdown with recovery of monuments from two prior Bureau of Land Management dependent re-surveys, and involved knowledge of the details of surveying public land survey system sectionalized lands. The subdivision included the identification and location of lake and wetland areas, floodplain identification on Starvation Creek, and a thorough assessment and plan for sanitary restrictions liftings and well locations. Phase 1 of the subdivision was recorded in June, 2008. Corner recordation forms have been recorded for section controlling corners used in the survey of the larger tract. The final stages will involve monumentation of the government lot corners and the subdivision lot corners.
