WGM Group recently earned unanimous approval of their design for Rolling Glen Ranch, a Planned Unit Development (PUD) located in the southern portion of Broadwater County, Montana. Rolling Glen Ranch features a comprehensive design including a community core for businesses and civic engagements; a wide variety of housing choices; school sites; fire protection facilities; golf courses and other recreational amenities; and a street network that provides bicycle and pedestrian facilities within an urban/suburban classification system.
WGM Group’s plan enhances and preserves the natural landscape. The plan incorporates several large park sites strategically placed to accommodate the local community neighborhoods. At the center of the development will be a 36-hole golf course and clubhouse around which the community has been designed. In addition, bicycle/pedestrian paths are integrated throughout the community, and recreational playfields are located adjacent to the anticipated school site.
WGM Group’s transportation engineers developed a road system for Rolling Glen Ranch based on an urban/suburban network with a primary road designed as a parkway throughout the community. The major roads will have bike paths and will accommodate on-street parking. Parking in the Town Center will be in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the protective covenants.
The first phase of development is anticipated to begin in 2008 and will include construction of primary access roads, interior roads to the first phase, a storm drainage system, a wastewater collection and treatment plant, and the public water supply wells, storage, and distribution as well as the first golf course.
