Libby Riverfront Park

|

MP.jpgWGM Group was recently selected to design the new Riverfront Park in Libby, MT - an area currently undergoing Superfund cleanup by the EPA. Melissa-Matassa Stone PE will manage the project under the guidance of Jeremy Keene PE.

The City of Libby has a vision for the site that includes multi-purpose open space, trails, vehicular parking improvements, and boat/trailer parking at the boat ramps. WGM Group has experience with all the critical elements of this project, including riverfront trail/park design, park master planning, and working with multiple environmental agencies. Our strength lies in our ability to see the big picture and successfully turn broad visions into reality.

Because a major portion of the site is undergoing Superfund clean up, it is ideal to institute large-scale improvements to the park at this time. WGM Group has a unique approach to the implementation of this project - burying utilities during environmental clean up, when the soil is already disturbed. The reclamation of formerly industrial areas for recreational use and economic development is an opportunity that WGM Group has capitalized on successfully in the past and looks forward to helping the City of Libby achieve.
